Something immediately caught Cassandra Hall’s eye when she saw an Australian breeder advertising rabbits as babies on Facebook. One of the photos had a caption, “Hairless not for sale”.

Her pet had already been adopted, but she contacted the breeder nonetheless. Having never owned a furless rabbit before, Cassida requested more pictures.
The breeder shared images. According to him, it is available for free.

In the past, he owned a hairless rabbit, but he had to give it up because it wasn’t popular.

She brought the critter home after visiting the breeder’s office the next day. The newly-formed family members named him Mr. Bigglesworth because he reminded them of the hairless cat from the Austin Powers movies.

When Bigglesworth arrived, the family wasn’t sure if he was a safe and trustworthy pet. There was Bigglesworth. According to Cassandra, she searched the Internet for information about his condition but could not find any. After uploading images of him to her previous rabbit’s Instagram account, she changed the account’s name to be owned by both of them. She asked if anyone had any information about him.

Cassandra’s plight was brought to Cassandra’s attention by a rabbit lover who offered to aid her and look after her. After a week, media sources publicized her story, and rabbit owners from all around the world shared their own stories of similar occurrences.

A litter of hairless babies will result when two rabbits share the Ff gene (hairless gene). The same happened to Mr. Bigglesworth. It is common for these bunnies to not survive beyond four weeks.

Cassandra has read stories about furless animals that grew fine fur on their bodies, others with patches of fur, and some who died.

According to Cassandra to Bored Panda, Mr. Bigglesworth is still in good health. There is, however, a high metabolic rate in Mr. Bigglesworth. As a result of his condition, he consumes more food than normal rabbits, but he is healthy and receives regular vet checks.

Mr. Bigglesworth’s mother, a human, explained that she never let him outside due to Australia’s calicivirus, which kills rabbits. In addition to his many jumpers, he has a companion rabbit named Miss Cinnamon Bun to keep him warm.

Whenever he gets cold, he will shiver like a human. His skin is like baby skin. If you scratch him, you will use pawpaw ointment. He is toilet trained and he can use a litter tray.

Despite not having any hair, the bunny is happy. His positive energy makes his family and friends pleased throughout the day. Cassandra described him as cheeky and mischievous. When I catch him doing something naughty, I call out ‘no,’ and he kicks his feet, then makes an alarm. It’s like he’s angry at me for not telling him to stop.
When Mr Bigglesworth hears his name, he will run. It is essential to care for rabbits properly and provide them with lots of rabbit toys, or they will become destructive,” Cassandra said.

Some people are not suitable for them. Although rabbits do not require walking as dogs do, they are anything but low-maintenance,” an official spokesperson for the House Rabbit Society, Mary E. Cotter, Ed.D., stated. Specific health issues in rabbits require frequent (and sometimes costly) veterinary treatments. “Identifying veterinarians who are knowledgeable about rabbit medicine can be challenging.”
A rabbit’s health needs to be checked daily. Even minor issues (such as anorexia for a day or so) can be life-threatening for rabbits, requiring immediate vet attention. Studies must be conducted before bringing any of these animals home!

In addition to selling his merchandise, Mr. Bigglesworth donates a portion of the profits to charities. “Our biggest donation went to the Australian bushfire victims because of the proximity to our home,” Cassandra said. We made short videos by visiting several wildlife parks and donating money from our fans’ funds.
Her mother also talks to schools in the area about bullying prevention. On his social media pages, you can learn more about the subject.

Most people relate to Bigglesworth as the ‘underdog’ and love him for his attractive characteristics because he represents the embodiment of an outcast. Among Cassandra’s faithful followers are those who love his appearance and are enthralled by his wit and humour and his message of beauty in all forms. In the future, we expect that the story of Mr. Bigglesworth will continue to unfold.”
