Okay, it turns out there’s an Instagram account with the same vigour as the r/WhatsWrongWithYourCat subreddit. And if there’s one thing the internet was made for, it’s amusing photographs of misbehaving cats.
Broken Cats / Cattos memes are the web project’s name, which promises to “heal your depression.” At first, I thought it was a big statement, but a simple browse through its feed had me grinning like a lunatic. I’m not depressed, and I’m not dismissing mental illness; all I’m saying is that this Instagram account can quickly brighten your day. It’s worth it, even if only for a moment.
Here’s a roundup of some of the most hilarious posts Broken Cats / Cattos memes have shared with their 291K followers.

Dofkunas, the creator of this amusing online initiative, has always wanted to start an Instagram account dedicated to something they are enthusiastic about.
“I’ve always enjoyed cats and memes,” Dofkunas explained, “so back in 2018, I merged both and started an account where I wouldn’t share typical lovely cat photographs but instead focus on the ‘broken’ ones.”

Dofkunas has found that the extent to which a cat is “broken” is usually determined by when it happens, as all of the submissions show. “Most of the photos show cats in funny positions or making funny faces at the right time. Because they are disgusted by something, cats often yawn when they are tired.” Dofkunas laughed when he said it.

Fans of the Broken Cats / Cattos memes continue to astonish Dofkunas. “I’m grateful to have one of the nicest cat communities I’ve ever seen on this page.”
“It appears that I don’t even require moderators on Discord because everyone is so courteous.” Broken Cats / Cattos memes have utilized the same profile image from their inception, as loyal followers may have observed. Fun fact: the tabby is Dofkunas’ cat, Tigras (Tiger)!”
