Why do other animals like capybaras? This was the Tumblr query, so Bored Panda decided to conduct some study on these cute creatures.
The photographic proof of the capybara’s kindness and animal friendships was more than persuasive. Every domestic and wild animal seems to like hanging out with this sociable critter that resembles a rat-pig hybrid. Crocodiles included!
What is the solution? It presumably resides in some capybara facts. To begin with, these adorable creatures are very gregarious and sometimes live in groups of 10-20 people. Second, this adorable species is the biggest rodent in the world, reaching to a size of up to 134cm and weighing up to 66kg. Third, capybaras are semi-aquatic animals endemic to South America that like to live near bodies of water; in fact, they are good swimmers, can evade predators by remaining underwater for up to 5 minutes, and mate exclusively in water. The most crucial thing is that we’d love to have a capybara as a pet!
What are your thoughts? Are there any other animal companions that exceed the degree of the capybara’s loveliness?
