It is a testament to the beauty and wonder of nature that perfect coincidences occur. A murmuration of starlings took place on the Costa Brava in northeastern Spain. Hundreds of thousands of starlings are moving and twisting in unison, creating bizarre patterns.
Whenever a predator like a falcon, hawk, or a hawk was nearby, Dan Biber, a photographer from Hilzingen, said the starlings twisted and turned. The starling cloud became a single large bird as if to prove to their tormentor that they were bigger than them
In an international photography competition, he won a prize. Still, he had no idea that he had taken such stunning photos. Only after looking at his computer photos did he notice the starlings’ formation. He said he lost track of the starlings because he focused on taking pictures
Despite not being able to capture the starlings flying, Mr Biber persevered. Taking pictures of starlings has always been a challenge for him. To capture them, I drove four days to the same spot. I chose a background and foreground that corresponded to their location
#1 There are times when things in nature seem too good to be true.
#2 Several days had passed before Daniel Biber, a German photographer, finally succeeded.
#3 “I tried to imagine the starlings, but it didn’t work out as I hoped.”
#4 “I drove there four days straight, stopping at the same spot every day to take pictures.”
#5 “At that moment, I was so busy taking photos that I missed the sight of a large cluster of starlings in the sky.”
#6 “It took birds less than ten seconds to assemble that pattern.”
#7 Then, I discovered that I had captured an exceptional snapshot that was technically sound, crisp, and of excellent quality.
#8 Birds of prey can cause starlings to change shape. The weather can be extremely unpredictable and highly irregular. “
#9 The performance was well attended by many people. It is possible they didn’t realize I was taking photos from different perspectives.
#10 The stunning photographs were recognized with a prestigious international photography award!
