The Easter Bunny is a legendary character and a symbol associated with Easter. It is typically shown as a rabbit carrying Easter eggs. At the beginning of the season of Eastertide, the “Easter Hare” was initially supposed to serve the function of a judge, determining whether or not children were being good or rebellious in their behavior. This tradition originated among German Lutherans.
The Easter bunny does not hand out candies to youngsters in France; instead, the Easter bells are responsible for that task. Although the Easter Bunny pays a visit to the homes of some Australian children, bunnies are generally viewed as a nuisance in the country because of the damage they inflict to the environment. Morris dancing is a classic English folk dance that dates back to the Middle Ages. At Easter, several villages in England put on performances of Morris dancing. A gigantic omelet consisting of 4,500 eggs is prepared and served in the central plaza of the town of Haux. This omelet can feed one thousand people.
Easter is a holiday that is observed in a remarkable number of various ways all over the world. The customs surrounding Easter vary from place to country according to its inhabitants’ ethnic and cultural roots.
These cute little bunnies will make you feel Easter is celebrated all year round.
