This world is fascinating. It has everything it takes to make “Earth.” Also, it has things that make it look like it’s from a completely different place. As strange as it sounds, this place we’re going to talk about has an ecosystem that we haven’t seen before.
On the Socotra Islands, which the Yemeni government owns, this is where you can find it. In those places, the world isn’t around them, so they have a different environment than other places in the world. You can see these trees that look like giant mushrooms that rise into the sky behind the sandy beaches and dunes. This photographer, who lives in Russia, likes to climb mountains and go on walks in the woods, too. So, his interests and job take him to some of the most remote and beautiful places on Earth. But the islands of Socotra are entirely different. The environment there is so different from anywhere else on the planet that UNESCO has named it a World Heritage site, which means it is crucial to keep it that way.

There are many aspects of this location that are unlike any other. None of them is in the world. It is a word made up by people who have been to this Island in the past. Because these trees are so big, they’ve been called “Dragon-Blood” trees because their sap is red like blood.

Climate change and natural disasters have done a lot of damage to these islands. These islands are also a place for livestock to graze. They are also destroying the ecosystems of this Island, which is not found anywhere else on Earth.
With all these problems, it’s essential to keep these islands safe for future generations. So, to stop people from going to the Island all the time, Kordan has taken some fantastic pictures of these islands. Please enjoy them!
